Education Elevators Lunch & Learn
Education Elevators partners businesses with elementary schools (K-5th grade) for the purpose of school-based mentoring and academic support. The goal of the program is to "elevate" the abilities and aspirations of students, to make them more confident in themselves and generally more receptive to learning. Mentors (called Elevators) meet with students for about 30 - 45 minutes each week on school grounds and during regular school hours.
Participants will be paired with a student based on common interests and are encouraged to engage in projects and activities that are of interest to you and the student you are matched with. There are no special requirements to be an Elevator, you just have to be there for your student by showing up each week and being a positive influence in his or her life.
